Waymo launches campaign to promote autonomous car in US
Waymo launches a campaign in the US to promote the benefits of the so called autonomous car. It wants to change the sceptical mindset of US consumers towards this technology.
Waymo is a company belonging to Alphabet, mother company of Google. It launches a campaign throughout the United States and works together with several organisations who have concerns about road safety.
One of the organisations is involved against drunk driving, another is engaging itself for blind children.
‘Let’s talk about self driving”
That’s the main slogan of the campaign. It wants to show to a larger public that autonomous cars can contribute to safety by transporting drunken people who would be a real danger driving themselves. On the other had they can for example provide an easy way of transport for visually disabled people.
Also in the States the scepticism towards autonomous cars is still very high. The American Congress is currently studying how the new technology can be regulated and afterwards promoted.Campagne ter promotie van zelfrijdende auto
